So the only people who'd be able to distribute that food would be the resturants and super markets

And they'd have to distribute it at theor own cost

And that cost would cut into their profits.

And then they wouldn't be able to pay their workers or buy more food

Those things have nothing to do with each other, corporations make their money because they have willing customers who've worked to earnt he money to buy their product.

Corporations go through the work to obtain a product, and they need funds to fuel doing that and making a profit so they can make more product and live easier lives then they did before
