So realistically only no deal is the outcome from johnsons current deal
cos thats what it would break down to
I'd take a no deal over remain anytime
In sense yes. Realistically no
anyone who doesn't at this point is a remainer
The EU needs us as much as we need them
More in fact
hence why we have all the cards
They want a deal even if they protendd they don't
well
had
Caugh caugh may
aight
The EU doesn't want the UK to leave for most part becaue it would get other countries to follow suit
Because of the way things were conducted in our parliament, they have always believed they can get article 50revoked. That is why they pretend they don't care. As soon as Boris became pm they changed the tune
Ideally, I'm sure most would prefer to have some sort of deal if they could. But you're probably better off getting no deal because no deal is better than a bad deal
And surely better than remain
Moment Boris became pm they bagged down a lot
yeah but no deal will make it likely tha we dont have the upper hand
in negotiations
@Cybel exactly because they realised that they can't bet on the revocation anymore
those guys are professional killers
Maybe but they don't like the eu very much
Liking and economic benefits are two different things
Trump did offer may a blank deal as long as we got out of the EU
thing is. economic tanking is a short term issue of no deal
The us wants us to trade with them
They want our banking sector in the side
Yeah but we're not in a great place to take an economic hit
@Scotty it is a small price to pay for the continued existence of this country
ye
In the short term it will fuck is
Long term it's the better choice
but we also need to take into account the actual state of the people in this country who will get fucked over the most in that hit and the contigency plan in place to help them
if history is anything to go by here. Britain has been fucked over all over the place and still came out on top.
cos we don't have any plan in place for that
Don't get me wrong. Churchill himself coined the phrase United States of Europe. But I do not believe that the way the EU works nowadays is anything like what he envisioned
Britain has millions in poverty, it's not really a great look plus we have had 3 elections in four years and two of them are supposedly to break the brexit deadlock
I was one of those millions for many years
thing is, it's not going to get better in the EU
