As with any racially-motivated policies, the result was less than desirable

Isn't a bot suppose to let people in after 24 hours?
<:pepesurrender:588020553873358858>
There is no time frame explicitly stated in the <#463041536003932170>, only that "you will be granted full access after a short time spent in the server"
And to be honest, I'm perfectly content with the mandatory wait policy to prevent an influx of trolls and spambots into the main channels
Plenty of those I know
Anyone hear about how cali is gonna put homeless into internment camps ?
That is deliberate. So people don't plan gore raids in advance. Bot should start promoting people shortly tho.
Lul, that tru?
Yup. Tim pool just made a vid about it
Unfortunately it's necessary thanks to a few who would cause that kinda trouble.
Understandable
Ran a 500+ server once, I know the pain
I mean its a reall issue, but how itonic they want more people while neglecting the ones there
There's I believe close to 20k here now.
Sometimes folks join in the 1000s lol
19,500 ish people total rn
I'm wary of anyone claiming the creation of "internment/concentration" camps within the US. It's an extremist position - although I can understand Tim's passion being a former resident of the state
I was born in CA, literally I hate it
They're going full fascist. It's kinda funny since they claim to hate them. Fucking retards don't understand their own party or anything
Spread the word though yea ?
Party, logic, economics, business, or policies for that matter
I've read the articles in the past 2 months in regards to California's homeless problem. It's a desperate attempt to curb the ever-increasing rate of homelessness - that's not an issue perpetuated by race, while I'm sure many outlets will scramble to that conclusion

I think during my research it's found 90% of homeless have some sort of mental illness
and in 2018 60% of homeless were males
Cambridge and Harvard did a study back in 2017 - it's around 35-40% being attributable to mental illness, and somewhere around an additional 20% to physical deformity in conjunction with mental disability
Harvard...didn't something recently happen with them?
Only thing that comes to mind was scrutiny over their Admissions program discriminating based on race
Ah, it was preventing the admission of Asain-Americans in favor of diversity. Forbes and NPR presented some of the most factual reporting. Harvard just won the Supreme Court battle in October 2019 proclaiming this discrimination was justified under Affirmative action.
What backwards type policy is that
*Can't be a racist policy if it's discriminating against a race in favor of other races* <:smugon:512048583806025739>
It's Harvard - in the end your admission is largely based on your financial resources. Lamenting the discrimination of potential students is a righteous battle, but ultimately it's a matter of *where your coming from* playing a direct factor, while *who you are* is of minor significance.
Not even sure if college is worth its value this day and age tbf
Most I can get out of it is networking
Course I could always be a little more open and socialize more in person, but I'm not about to give money to a shit system who tells me I'm bad because I'm white
Bachelor's degrees still hold merit in bolstering your salary by an average of 20k. I'll fiercely advocate for trade schools and institutions dedicated to the sciences
