i think the "demographics is destiny" idea isn't quite right. demographics are just an indicator. the same phenomenon could exist if there were tons of poor, uneducated white immigrants with no ties to this country.

the problem is that without a history of paying taxes, serving in the military, creating businesses, etc, new immigrants don't see a problem with infinite free money handouts.
