Are you deliberately being obtuse?
we need to reinvest the money we spend on chinese goods on ourselves, incentivize new businesses in the us
besides its all shit anyways
fuck china
you got it all wrong dude
other than china is there even a nation that exports more than it imports
china imports almost all of their food
btw
Key American exports are commercial aircraft and parts. You need the external markets so that you can keep those businesses afloat.
you are acting as if us being tough on our allies/rivals means a large chunk of trade will disappear
when thats not the case
Else, Europe will take the market share.
It's already the case in Europe @UnScottable
lel
europe
Hostile American policy has pushed Europe towards China.
we definitely dont need them
they're not going to stop doing trade with us because trade makes them money
especially if they are willing to cuddle up with china
damn commies
Same for massive parts of Oceania and South Asia.
why would you just stop exporting to the US
<:pepegun:588019479401726001> america first bitch get out of the way
they still trade a lot with the US
These are your massive export markets. @UnScottable
"Fuck em" to your export markets?
The place that you're selling those new aircraft to?
you still have not
Are you stupid?
are you saying china is taking our key exports
provided any evidence to suggest a large portion is going to go away. in many cases china is paying the tariffs
because they are not
and still exporting goods to us
3.1 is a bit on the high end but we're talking about shares of 20T. Most US trade is us trading with ourselves. The bulk of the other trade is Mexico then Canada. I'm sure it seems like a big number to the poor, small, weak, nations that inhabit the rest of the planet. But it's not significant *here*. We're one of the least connected economies on the planet (I think Lichtenstein is less import/ export dependent)
you are fearmongering with no real evidence
other then
muh europe is doing bad
It's already going away, Europe is using Huawei infrastructure, rather than Cisco.
<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
It's already happening.
