It’s just everyone that argues for increased voting age it’s just because young people vote labour

2019-11-22 02:17:37 UTC

Well I don't thing there is many arguing for increasing as there are for lowering

2019-11-22 02:17:55 UTC

I’d sooner lower it then increase it but it’s fine where it is

2019-11-22 02:18:46 UTC

maybe people should only be able to vote when they move away from home... so its not just their parents vote

2019-11-22 02:19:05 UTC

Nah a lot of people get different opinions then their parents

2019-11-22 02:19:16 UTC

Most of my friends have different opinions

2019-11-22 02:19:35 UTC

Then also then a lot disabled people wouldn’t be able to vote

2019-11-22 02:20:24 UTC

Student's should only be allowed to register at there home address

2019-11-22 02:20:45 UTC

mature / indepedent students can register where ever they live.

2019-11-22 02:20:51 UTC

Students that live at home can vote then?

2019-11-22 02:21:01 UTC

THat's my faults

2019-11-22 02:21:08 UTC

thoughts*

2019-11-22 02:21:12 UTC

tired

2019-11-22 02:21:23 UTC

Ok

2019-11-22 02:21:46 UTC

40% off... everything must go!

2019-11-22 02:21:53 UTC

It’s a none issue for me if there’s ever been a large sized poll on voting age I’m sure most people think the status quo is fine

2019-11-22 02:22:07 UTC

In that referendum 18 would win most likely

2019-11-22 02:22:31 UTC

maybe not ... with a ranked voting system

2019-11-22 02:22:44 UTC

more likely 21 would win

2019-11-22 02:22:53 UTC

I can't wait for Labour's next manifesto.

2019-11-22 02:22:53 UTC

Doubt it

2019-11-22 02:23:18 UTC

You don’t see anyone arguing 21 to be voting age

2019-11-22 02:23:22 UTC

"Kill the Tories and Lib Dems so we can have true socialism."

2019-11-22 02:23:31 UTC

because most of the people who vote are older... and probably will give their 4 and 3 points to 25 and 21

2019-11-22 02:23:40 UTC

Those that want it to change say 16, a few say 25 that’s mostly it

2019-11-22 02:23:53 UTC

In ranked voting you don’t have to rank the ones you don’t want to

2019-11-22 02:24:14 UTC

Ranked voting is how I want elections to be done though

2019-11-22 02:26:27 UTC

actually if most of the voters are picking 25 as first... then 21 voters will have their second votes moved to either 18 or 25 .. maybe 25 will win actually... in a ranked voting system

2019-11-22 02:27:00 UTC

Most voters think 18 I gaurantee

2019-11-22 02:27:19 UTC

Has a poll been done on this I’ll google it

2019-11-22 02:27:41 UTC

it doesnt really matter what most voters pick as their first rank...

2019-11-22 02:28:49 UTC

if most picked 18 as their first choice and everyone picked 25 as their second... 25 would win

2019-11-22 02:28:58 UTC

in a ranked voting system

2019-11-22 02:30:12 UTC

I’d pick 16 as second

2019-11-22 02:30:26 UTC

When I google voting age polls I only see stuff about whether it should lower or not

2019-11-22 02:30:42 UTC

So clearly there’s not much appetite for it to raise

2019-11-22 02:31:33 UTC

People only want it to raise so labour gets less votes that seems clear to me

2019-11-22 02:32:26 UTC

And you aren’t thinking loads of younger adults would go out of their way to vote for 18 and 16 so they can still vote in the short term future, a lot of middle aged and older people wouldn’t care
