is it me or is the steam sale pretty meh this time around?
you always get to a point where you have so many games that you don't even need any other, so sales are more a time to check your wishlist
maybe its just the catharsis i feel after spending a week downloading the new modern warfare on my shitty internet
also with steam is not like netflix where you can't choose what to watch, you just buy whatever is cheap and then look at your library with 300 games
and realize that you only play max 10 of them
yeah, i barely have time in between COD,overwatch and shadow of war. all games that technically have no endgame
luckily ow is very easy to piss you off and make you quit the game
devs do their best for players to hate the game
i just get my daily win and maybe just enough matches to get weekly lootboxes
funny that shadow of war which should technically be a story driven game was made into a grind fest
mordor and war are actually breddy gud games, they just had a weird idea to hammer in a nonsensical story into the tolkienverse that already has a well defined canon story
they are pretty polished and have smooth gameplay
but story wise and grind in war is quite bad
also youll feel both games would be less grindy if you imagine them as a casual experience. like when you want to go on a rampage in skyrim or gta, but the whole game is like that. just killing endless orcs
in war when I got to end game I would just attack the fortress with weaklings then brand all warlords in the fortress
which made end game beyond boring
after doing that for fun most game I need to that to get the ending
honestly by level 10-12 i already feel a bit overpowered since ive just been doing vendetta missions since level 5. so im all decked up in legendary gear
only thing I like to do is get as many insane orcs as possible
havent gotten to the point i can mindfuck captains yet, is it soon after you get hints that the king guy is a traitor?
yes, is part of the story
you need to demote to insanity that ogre that backstabbed you
as a punishment and example for other orcs
okay then ill just play the story until i get the fun abilities
though one time I overdid it and got a deranged savage to become overlord
I needed 5 tries to kill him as I only could damage him with direct weapon attacks
he was immune to almost all abilities
those ones always get annoying to kill off
overall it was a fun game
though I liked progression in first game more
story or gameplay progression?
second game was specifically made to appear grindier
first one has a simple upgrade system for items
second one is gems, slots, uniques etc.
they really went all out on war with all the extra bells and whistles
"kill a 50 level savage to get +10 damage"
pretty much a randomized system
I don't know how it was at release
because they backed down then with high requirements
