Dualism is just the philosophy of a clear separation between mind and body.
Dualism can refer to the dichotomy of deities but generally it's a reference to mind-body dualism.
It's pretty simple, and it's been disproven as a concept
Generally anybody who takes them time to work it through rationally can see that our mind isn't something that exists apart from our body.
But for a time, when the science of the brain wasn't fully understood, beople believed it.
