Thing is, Chris and Laci seem to work as a couple. They're two sides of the same coin, and seem to compliment each other for the better. I'd like to think she started to realize how polarized things were getting; her personality isn't suited to that kind of dichotomy, so she began seeking reconciliation. Once that happened, well, the red pill kind of became inevitable for her.
