by the end of it charlie is just... a stuttering mess lol
All Tucker's debates are pretty good, he did with with Cenk too and they came away from it being on seemingly better terms than Cenk thought they were to begin with because Tucker is pretty left now when it comes to a lot of economics regarding these elites and massive corporations
he's right in all the right places <:smugon:512048583806025739>
But then still he is great on demographics
yeah
its a win/win
I didn't mean the economic thing was a bad thing btw
I actually am happy he is moving away from Capitalist Conservative talking points
yea i mean... its pretty obvious the free market just ends up fucking you if its left unchecked
case and point. google
not to mention how the free market is incentivizing these "rage bait" news articles as tim pool likes to call them... so they are monetarily incentivized to spread BS that divides our nation
tucker has a strong bent toward paternalistic conservatism
in a sane world... not clown world. We would see a place like CNN for example... participating in such trash.. and we'd stop them. either through regulation or something else.
well relatively strong
obviously he's not advocating for a monarchy or anything
blatantly lying about things that are important to the stability of our nation. yet they spread such falsehoods and etc... covington kids is one example
they should be stopped.. reprimanded.. regulated... SOMETHING
@Death in June He doesn't advocate for any specific ideology, but going point by point on the policies he supports/opposes and everything else he says he is pretty close to 3rd pos in a lot of ways and doesn't even know it.
yea. i think its slowly starting to click in peoples mind... that liberal democracies
well they kinda suck
it just turns into tyranny of the majority. And elites use their wealth to change which group is in the majority. So that they get what they want voted in
liberal democracy is kind of like an algorithm that allocates political power based on the amount of profit one "produces"
interesting take
but with the caveat that the algorithm only survives on the back of an ideology that indirectly justifies this
its something like that... i think it can work in a homogenous society
@UnScottable As Eric Striker said a year ago or so, "we're currently in the death throws of Liberalism" (referring to both Progressivism and Conservatism, as they both derive from Liberalism)
ie promoting the further commodification of human relations through the veneer of concepts like "liberty" and "equality"
libertarian ideals can fit better into a homogenous society. but when you get a place like the US... which is so culturally diverse and being incentivized by market forces to go further in that direction... well order cannot be maintained if liberal values are the priority.
i'm quite skeptical of that
ethnic diversity probably doesn't help, i mean in general it's a burden to any system, but liberalism has had quite devastating effects on homogeneous countries like japan and south korea
well we dont know what our society would be like if the universities had been stopped long ago from spreading this nonsense.. if hollywood had been restrained and so on. If the 1965 immigration act was never passed and our country was still 95% white
granted that's not necessarily the same thing as "libertarianism" i guess
right
and i dont mean libertarianism outright
just that... certain libertarian ideas fit better into a homogenous society... certain ones... but in a culturally diverse society... well none of them can fit into that system and work long term
@UnScottable I think Libertarian ideas, anything derived from Liberalism, ultimately is destined to end up where we are today. Its just what happens because others will take advantage of its gaping loopholes and exploit it against us. The kinds of system we were talking about previously that could replace the current order should not be some temporary bandaid to "fix it" then move on to another system, as soon as we move away from it we're back on track to the same destiny as before. Thats my take anyway.
I agree with you in so far as fitting those ideas into our current society
the libertarian ideas. to be specific
gib examples
of a libertarian idea?
of the type of situation you're referring to exactly
