personally... even though i use it a lot
i dont want to see it commodified and marketed.
i do kinda lean libertarian in the sense that i'm generally averse to criminalizing things that don't directly harm other people
right DiJ... unfortunately our current society.. doesnt need unlimited access to marijuana lol
though that is different from believing that cultural institutions should be normalizing or glorifying these things
"Harm" can be subjective though
and obviously that's not an absolute position
im conflicted in a lot of ways with religion because of things like this
like before i did a bunch of psychedelics. i was a devout atheist
you couldnt tell me anything
if the distribution of marijuana remains illegal i would still be inclined to think that consumption shouldn't be
i don't think that it's so harmful that it warrants legal action in that regard
but yet all the religious types say LSD and mushrooms and etc. are evil and the devil so im like... hmmmmm idk
🤷♂️
i feel without those experiences my world view would not be what it is today and id probably still like bernie sanders lol
i mean i know its not healthy lol
inhaling burnt plant matter is never healthy
That is why I personally would want it restricted, I don't particularly want my people killing themselves
i mean i guess in terms of priorities
curtailing the consumption of unhealthy food would be a lot more important than curtailing cannabis use
I would also outlaw any chemicals in food that are proven to be harmful to us
some how we thought of the same thing at the same time
tho marijuana use makes you want to eat unhealthy foods
so...
<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
ehhh
kill all pot smokers
<:pepegun:588019479401726001>
I say all this as an ex smoker myself btw
My progressive friend I've had since childhood still smokes every single day though
i dunno if would qualify as an ex-smoker
i mean i haven't smoked it in a while but it's not as if i've actively given it up
well i said at the beginning i dont want it legalized.
i suppose i am biased in this regard
i do still smoke tobacco though and i'd actually be more okay with that being banned
itll just be commodified and marketed. freaking pot ads.. no thanks. im good. i can get it on my own and use it on my own. i dont want to pay taxes on it and etc. fuck all that
or have its distribution or use curtailed in some way if not outright banned
Well, so what was an example of some "Libertarian ideas" you would want to implement into a post-Liberal society like we touched on? @UnScottable
and i dont trust the government either to make it.. theyd prob put some shit in it
hmm... idk honestly i havent really thought it out that well
