Had a DUI when I was 19 - I was an idiot
its almost like drinking and doing drugs makes you do things you wouldnt normally do
like flash your tits at a party
@kernalkrackerz military nowadays is actually held accountable for wrongful killing, etc... imagine back then when it was much more unchecked
Good evening everyone
men were tarianed to be as savage as possible
trained
Indeed - kill with extreme prejudice
Hey mitch
reading about how an army 200 years ago operated compared to today is quite intresting
For sure
prisionors of war wernt really a thing
But it is fascinating how organized they were for their time
if they were it was purely for slave labor
it is
the battlefeild is a confusing place
but the romans and other cultures has quite remarkable communication
No electronic radios or anything - amazing
its also intresting to see that PTSD has gotten worse over the ages
im guessing back then men were used to all the bloodshed
its because we’re not as manly as them back then
we still have tough men today, but nothing compared to back then
also brain damage is much higher on the battlefeild today, becasue of explosions mainly
most PTSD is casue by a combonation of Explosions and horrific scenes
Ive been diagnosed with ptsd and most i know from the infantry but i can say it truly depends on the individual in terms of severity - theres similarities but everyone handles differently
your brain gets severly injured, by lets say a motar that lands next to you, becasue of the shockwave and blast
and your brain gets put into a state of repair
during that time it is extremely vulnurable
and being in a battle is just about the worst thing for your brian while its injured
Id say mine is much more based around nightmares and paranoia - but I feel like a normal functioning person - but many dont
nerves are also stressed in battle
expecially in the middle east with so many IED and suicide bombers
each step could be your last
Oh yeah, if you drive and im in the passenger seat, dont be bothered about my headchecking everywhere
I always like driving - guess its a control thing
there is a great book abou the men who were trapped in stalingrad, which is the worst battle ever recoreded for many factors
and their decent into madness
I can only imagine
due to their nerves being shot
and no sleep
