Though it's fully arguable they've got one eye open at this point.

2019-11-14 19:56:10 UTC

Things are bad but haven't yet hit critical mass.

2019-11-14 19:56:22 UTC

I'm not saying we are OK, but even by our standards what is happening in with your democrats is over the top by now.

2019-11-14 19:56:25 UTC

*in spite of the demonrats' best efforts*

2019-11-14 19:56:35 UTC

my property will be a DMZ, none of them are allowed in

2019-11-14 19:56:45 UTC

Yeah but it's also expected that we can still get rid of them within the rules of the system

2019-11-14 19:57:10 UTC

Don't think so any more.

2019-11-14 19:57:24 UTC

They are trying to impeach Trump. aren't they?

2019-11-14 19:57:28 UTC

Iunno, the way 2020 is shaping up, it's gonna be a bloodbath.

2019-11-14 19:57:36 UTC

Michigan and Ohio went to war over Toledo

2019-11-14 19:57:37 UTC

If they do it-the system s over with.

2019-11-14 19:57:43 UTC

Yes but 1) they can't remove him and 2) it's making them look like assclowns more than it's making Trump look bad.

2019-11-14 19:57:51 UTC

@Ironcaster whenabouts?

2019-11-14 19:58:13 UTC

When they were being first ratified as states.

2019-11-14 19:58:27 UTC

what was that, 1800s ish?

2019-11-14 19:58:46 UTC

The Toledo war. Winner got that strip along the bottom half of Michigan that makes it not a straight line across

2019-11-14 19:59:07 UTC

Er right, for your benefit @yordanyordanov
The House can vote to Impeach, which merely starts the trial. The Dems control it so they have the ability. However, the *Senate* is the one that votes to convict/remove, and *that* is Republican controlled.

2019-11-14 19:59:40 UTC

Because Ohio was a state first, they got to keep it in the end (Michigan hadn't gotten statehood yet) and Michigan got it's upper peninsula as compensation to prevent further war

2019-11-14 19:59:50 UTC

The situation here in the EU is blink, too.

2019-11-14 20:00:33 UTC

It is like a full on war between the commission and the parliament now.

2019-11-14 20:00:48 UTC

Michigan saw it as a loss, until they discovered a fuckton of copper in the UP. It's why the states have such a rivalry in sports.

2019-11-14 20:00:51 UTC

But more importantly, a lot of the probable Dem nominees are senators *and* they'd probably have to "lynch" Biden as well to pull off a trial.
This means it gravely sabotages a huge swath of their field if it does go to trial

2019-11-14 20:00:58 UTC

They again humiliated Ursi today for the Hungarian candidate.

2019-11-14 20:01:27 UTC

EU comish and parliament are in a schism? fucking good

2019-11-14 20:01:30 UTC

so odds are good the impeachment proceedings won't go past the formal inquiry stage unless the dems somehow get forced to

2019-11-14 20:02:10 UTC

@Jokerfaic They have been like since the last elections.

2019-11-14 20:02:12 UTC

which would be *hilarious* and would have rather good odds on causing an absurd electoral win for Trump

2019-11-14 20:02:18 UTC

yeah, impeachement will go nowhere because they're absolutely retarded and don't focus on shit that Trump's done that he really ought not to have

2019-11-14 20:02:26 UTC

Nobody likes Ursi, even the Deutsch themselves.

2019-11-14 20:02:36 UTC

such as?

2019-11-14 20:02:37 UTC

@Jokerfaic Name one thing he did that was impeachable

2019-11-14 20:02:40 UTC

like actively fighting congress three fucking times to keep being militarily involved in Yemen

2019-11-14 20:03:01 UTC

I was hoping for the longshot that Hungary would veto the Brexit delay

2019-11-14 20:03:03 UTC

You can argue that he's done shit he shouldn't've done policy-wise, but literally nothing has been not within his powers.

2019-11-14 20:03:05 UTC

Congress has war powers, the president does not

2019-11-14 20:03:14 UTC

No. Congress has *budget* powers.

2019-11-14 20:03:18 UTC

@DOSagain No hope there.

2019-11-14 20:03:29 UTC

The President is the Commander in Chief my guy

2019-11-14 20:03:30 UTC

No, Congress declares war, the president cannot.

2019-11-14 20:03:39 UTC

things now are so complicated at the top they do not have the energy for such a long shot.

2019-11-14 20:03:42 UTC

Yes and the president doesn't need to declare war to station troops somewhere
