China seems at least *aware* of the danger that having a large amount of young, fit men without access to women can pose.

So many men not having a partner is not something our species isn't used to.

@leavethisbotnet In my view it's probably better to just avoid the issue with mandated monogamy. There are merits to polygamy but there is always a risk.

But yes you're right about the historical male-female reproduction rate.

We are as a species used to most males not reproducing. It's just that the males in question don't like it.

If there's not enough Chinese women to go round the only recourse is foreign women.

Men by and large *want* to reproduce.

If anything, given socially enforced monogamy, the Chinese problem is smaller, than the problem that polygamy causes
