beef is best, but the best costs
so does my preferred bottled green veggie smoothie, which is the only way, to-date, that I've been able to ingest broccoli.
Hmmm... Would it be fair to say one of the main differences between the worldview of Conservatives and Liberals would be cynnicism vs optimism? I notice that a lot of Conservatives seem to be more afraid of Liberal policies than hopeful for Conservative ones, whereas most Liberals I see seem to be more optimistic, focused on the future, and eager to change the world for the better. Many Conservatives seem to be afraid of change, and all the dangers that might come with it, while Liberals seem desperate for change, frustrated and despairing over everything wrong with the world as it is. I sometimes wonder if the current political divide could be summed up by
"Liberals: This thing is falling apart, and doesn't work as well as it needs to. Come on, let's fix it already!
Conservatives: Stop! You might break it! You're gonna break it!"
To be fair, neither is entirely wrong. The Liberal _could_ break it, and the Conservative _could_ neglect it into oblivion.
...Random musings! :D
That took so long to type 'cuz my friend's dog is needy af.
eh, yes and no. There's some fucking dark bitter cynics in the general liberal center-left (like me)
Yeah, same kinda. Though I'm progressive, and alternate between cynnical and optimistic.
conservatism by its etymological roots does suggest a retticence to change, but founded on a set of ideals and values they believe are the way forward.
In Yurip maybe in America no. Here the conservatives are liberal because they conserve the values and ideas of the Founders who were liberal idealists. This is why I talk down to progressives and socialists. Because they reject those values.
But I have noticed that it seems to be a trend in general, at least among people who weren't just indoctrinated into an alignment and refuse to consider they might be wrong about anything.
all i keep seeing in this particular channel is race stuff whenever I check in
It does seem to punctuate the chat, huh?
Sure the ethnats are like the socialists they hate the core American ideas so they come here to attack them.
really? I mostly catch the Trump and greta stuff
I don't even know what Greta is. Or I don't remember. Not sure which. Greta who?
like all the other chats are actual policy stuff
Or Greta what?
most of the actual "nigger" spouting shitlords are up writing on the wall
^^
Is Greta an acronym? And I can attest to that, Joker.
greta thornberry or whatever her name is, swedish kid bitching about climate for something or other
Greta is that mentally disables Sweede. Who leads the Greens. Who are also mentally disabled.....
like, right or wrong, he's actively fighting a child. its a waste of time and energy
Oh, her!
>leads the greens
is that a meme or real?
I find it entirely appropriate. A movement of children throwing a tantrum should be represented by a child throwing a tantrum.
but for real, watching him actively respond and react reminds me of when I unduly respond angrily to my 6 yo niece
whoever's right or wrong becomes irrelevant, because now everyone's time and energy is being wasted
i thought Trump just ignored her?
I wish
between direct TV team statements and non-meme tweets, he's treating her like a presidential opponent
Well I mean. Who notices the Swedes anyway?
Greta is awesome. I mean, she is a child, and doesn't have the same resources as a politician, so she should be viewed through a different lens than politicians. Greta Thornberry is dedicated and earnest af.
ok I said thornberry as a meme, its thrunberg or something
She frickin' sailed across the ocean to get from Sweden to America for that UN summit. No worries; I can't remember her last name, either, as you can see XD
okay? so did the child actress that helped get us into Iraq
I'm just saying, she's a dedicated kid.
It's impressive.
I couldn't and wouldn't do anything like that _now._
Climate Activism is a privileged brat on a yacht. I cannot disagree with that symbolism.
And I'm, like, six years older than her? Greta's about 12, right?
