Nuclear exists but it is only a portion of the global energy paradigm.

2019-10-01 04:08:33 UTC

yeah but speaking about the US

2019-10-01 04:08:57 UTC

I am making a far better case than you. You seek to dismiss or discredit those who oppose you, rather than making any actual arguments against their points. You misdirect, lie, deceive, and mischaracterize. If I am angry, it is because I have a _right_ to be angry. Or is that a luxury allowed only to Conservatives?

2019-10-01 04:08:59 UTC

Gas has 1/2 the emissions of coal (you know what powers most of Asia which is where CO2 emissions are growing)

2019-10-01 04:09:14 UTC

People like you make me sick, Jym.

2019-10-01 04:09:35 UTC

Les than half if you use combined cycle generators.

2019-10-01 04:10:03 UTC

Be sick then. I am not responsible for your emotional instability.

2019-10-01 04:10:31 UTC

because both sides of the conversation have magically made the conversation whether the US alone should or shouldn't do something. like, seriously, it began as 'all countries should contribute", then out of nowhere some dipshit tried to claim "they want america to shoulder the entire burden", and before anyone could correct them, and even bigger dipshit came along and said "hey, that's not a bad idea."

2019-10-01 04:11:08 UTC

You have a right to be angry just as you have a right to be wrong. I trust you will exercise both.

2019-10-01 04:12:37 UTC

All countries SHOULD contribute, Joker. People in the US are just seeking to do what they can to lessen the burden however they can. For US citizens, that is working to make the US do more to help fight climate change.

2019-10-01 04:12:40 UTC

hylia

2019-10-01 04:12:46 UTC

you believe in climate change?

2019-10-01 04:12:48 UTC

2019-10-01 04:13:25 UTC

America has decreased carbon emissions more than any country on earth (in total tonnage). We met the Kyoto target in '14 we are on track to meet Paris even though we signed neither. All this is readily available information.

2019-10-01 04:13:35 UTC

let me ask you this. Do you think China would ignore climate change to gain an upper hand on western society?

2019-10-01 04:13:52 UTC

especially if we decided to handicap our industries and economy to protect the globe or whatever

2019-10-01 04:14:18 UTC

There are global efforts to fight climate change, too, of course. Do you think Greta was scolding the US alone? She was scolding the _entire_ united nations.

2019-10-01 04:14:19 UTC

oh hey, found one

2019-10-01 04:14:46 UTC

greta is the WORST person they could have used

2019-10-01 04:14:52 UTC

was that your cat on the keyboard?

2019-10-01 04:15:20 UTC

exploiting children for political gain is wrong. no matter how true the science is. causing a child with mental instability to fear for her life... thats wrong.

2019-10-01 04:15:27 UTC

The largest carbon emitters are all in Asia. What can fix that? The same thing moving from coal to gas. Who is doing that? The US. We've opened 2 more LNG terminals and are working on 4 more.

2019-10-01 04:15:42 UTC

the top 5 worst rivers in the world are in africa and china

2019-10-01 04:15:46 UTC

many more are in india

2019-10-01 04:15:58 UTC

these rivers dump god knows what into our oceans

2019-10-01 04:15:59 UTC

China would do whatever it could to gain power. We must keep a close eye on Xi Xinping, lest he try and expand his influence further. But protecting the climate and not giving China control of the Earth are NOT mutually exclusive.

2019-10-01 04:16:15 UTC

they are if protecting the climate means handicapping ourselves

2019-10-01 04:16:20 UTC

@Jym That's good.

2019-10-01 04:16:20 UTC

Which it does

2019-10-01 04:16:23 UTC

thats the whole point

2019-10-01 04:16:26 UTC

Let's keep going.

2019-10-01 04:16:37 UTC

wow, so we did find one on this server, that didn't take long

2019-10-01 04:16:46 UTC

ima laugh in 20 years when florida is exactly the way it is now <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898> just saying

2019-10-01 04:16:56 UTC

I was kinda joking, but the joke became real

2019-10-01 04:17:07 UTC

So if (imagine) you are not a socialist but are (gasp) *actually concerned about global carbon emissions* you want more fracking in the US.

2019-10-01 04:17:15 UTC

all these politicians claiming that the sea level will rise and etc. meanwhile they buy houses on ocean front property

2019-10-01 04:17:25 UTC

I didn't say Greta was right about everything. I said she was right to be angry.

2019-10-01 04:17:28 UTC

you know why? cuz they know its bullshit to scare the population into voting for them.

2019-10-01 04:17:36 UTC

just rewatch an inconvenient truth

2019-10-01 04:17:42 UTC

it's funny

2019-10-01 04:18:21 UTC

I don't give a fuck about where some rich idiot buys a house, even if they are Liberal.
