"The liberal love for science has nothing to do with conducting research and experiments, understanding the world and improving the human condition. To them, it is a dogma, one for which they have unshakable reverence. Liberals believe in science, reason, logic, free speech and public debate as an alternative to believing in power structures. Political disagreements are not, to them, a struggle to control the material conditions of existence. Rather they believe that all disagreements are the product of misunderstandings, that political positions live and die by the amount of factuality they stand on, and that opponents can be brought together once the incorrect side has been educated.
But what is dogma to the liberal is opportunity to the fascist. Fascists flatter liberals by praising the arena of debate, and eagerly coming up with their own set of facts to do battle ostensibly on the liberals' own terms. But fascists are not swayed by facts, their participation in arguments with liberals is solely to the end of honing their rhetoric and expanding their audience not allowing the substance of their beliefs to be modified. Allowing this debate legitimizes fascist ideas, and if they can hold their own rhetorically, their ideas can take root in the minds of impressionable people long before they can be countered with dry, dull citations explaining why 'The Bell Curve' is junk science.
So how do you know if you're a liberal? Ask yourself this: Suppose you're about to go back in time to assist John Brown with his slave revolt. Are you going to bring with you modern anthropology textbooks, or modern weaponry? Make no mistake, the relationship between master and slave is not an accident. Scientific racism is just one of many tools used to uphold power structures; removing those structures will not be as easy as providing those who benefit with the proper facts. Only power can answer power. and liberals roll out the red carpet for fascism until they understand this."
