I read mostly pirated books.

2017-05-05 21:35:15 UTC

Is it alright?

2017-05-05 21:36:31 UTC

No idea, I was an avid reader in childhood.

2017-05-05 21:37:07 UTC

Probably a few thousands in total.

I think people like you have to be forced to donate sperm and procreate in millions for the socialist motherland.

2017-05-05 21:44:51 UTC

Did you read Hegel already?

2017-05-05 21:44:53 UTC

I read lots of history and historical politics books in my childhood.

2017-05-05 21:44:59 UTC

What Marxist literature have you read?

2017-05-05 21:45:37 UTC

Not yet.

2017-05-05 21:45:46 UTC

I’m not sure what counts as Marxist literature.

2017-05-05 21:45:59 UTC

Capital would count

2017-05-05 21:47:17 UTC

I read some Marx, some Lenin, political East German stuff. I even read the school textbook teaching Dialectal Materialism to 12th graders.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17447189-einf-hrung-in-den-dialektischen-und-historischen-materialismus I even possess it. 😃 It’s one of the books I had to add by myself.

2017-05-05 21:51:39 UTC

@Tenta Best practice is to study philosophy from its roots, switch to Hegel, then switch to Marx-Engels. But nobody does it because its a long way.

2017-05-05 21:51:50 UTC

But its the best way

2017-05-05 21:51:59 UTC

Introduction to the dialectal and the historical materialism.

2017-05-05 21:52:10 UTC

You're so lucky you can read original Hegel and Marx

2017-05-05 21:53:16 UTC

usually introductions to diamat are not so nice as the original. It is a huge downgrade from original. Lenin advised to study original Hegel.

2017-05-05 21:53:31 UTC

Most materials are revised or not complete

2017-05-05 21:54:52 UTC

It’s a good starter, and was taught over an entire school year. 552 pages should be a good giveaway that it does contain a lot. Of course it is adapted to East Germany and the Socialist World in the early 1970s.

2017-05-05 21:57:36 UTC

By the way, did you listen to that FDJ song I had linked some time ago?

2017-05-05 22:01:25 UTC

@Tenta ☣#4733 yes, I was surprised there is still people in this organization. Very much fun. I miss the old times.
