we shield the young and then wonder why they are so soft and inept
13 to be on discord without parents permission
I don't think there's a lot of parents than know what discord is
Yes but there are also some things young kids shouldn't see.
That's right
Parents permission makes no difference.
Oh really
BRuh Froski chill my guy
I was just stating what was in Discord TOS
I was right, first time for everything<:troll_face:726878856585281557>
I understand this servers rules,
Except that is not what it states...
I'm just trying to protect you buddy<:troll_face:726878856585281557>
yeah
(i) that you are 13 years of age and the minimum age of digital consent in your country, (ii) if you are the age of majority in your jurisdiction or over, that you have read, understood, and accept to be bound by the Terms, and (iii) if you are between 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent, as applicable) and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, that your legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms.
Just linked the COPPA rule
13 is the minimum. Period.
I'm saying other servers take a roblox server example you can be under 13 and be in it because it's 1 Discord and 2 roblox
No, you are wrong on both. 13 is the minimum per Discord's TOS, what you asked was someone siting the COPPA as an argument against Discord's TOS.
Because of the stupid COPPA rules
You can be on discord with parents permisson
without and your under 13 its a no go
https://discord.com/terms What I posted above.
And no, you cannot. You must be 13. You must also have Parent's permission when between the ages of 13 to age of majority.
these laws and regulations get confusing
<:weirdpepe:803800661933555714>
Yeah welcome to law
It's awesome to learn
I'm just gonna stick with Firearms thank you very much
Not really. The laws simply guide Discord what they must do. If Discord does not follow the guidelines, then they risk liability. The simple fact is that the TOS are the rules. The three rules listed are that:
(1) you must be 13 & the minimum age of digital consent in your country
(2) age of majority, and therefore bound,
and
(3) are 13, but not the minimum age of digital consent, but have parental permission.
Good to learn laws/politics if you enjoy firearms, so that way you can help protect your right to own them.<:thinking:726878987837636698>
Yes...learn...
Theres too many laws for a "free country"
ehhhhh
Possibly, but at the same time no laws create anarchy, and anarchy is not fun.
True
I mean, I get the argument, but generally speaking the laws are made to protect certain classes. For example, the COPPA laws are created to protect children from obscenity, just as section 230 was initially introduced to protect the internet companies from liability for things others post that could be harmful to children.
Laws make society run efficiently and tend to set a code of how people are allowed to behave.
