I had a hard time just finding the upper parts

I prefer AKs and other piston OPs

ARs are direct inpingement so all the dirt and carbon of operation is blasted right into the operating system

Less comfortable to shoot but more reliable

ARs are easy peasy to shoot, basicly no recoil

Silencers make guns run faster/harder (usially) because it adds more gas pressure to the system

Not really, almost all guns are overbuilt

If your AR runs too hard you can add an adjustable gas block to bleed off pressure, or a heavier buffer to slow the spring
