Nothing brag worthy for sure<:Teeth:798301808996384828>

2021-03-07 14:04:43 UTC

In a month or two I'm probably going to buy me an ar15

2021-03-07 14:04:57 UTC

Good luck

2021-03-07 14:05:12 UTC

I had a hard time just finding the upper parts

2021-03-07 14:06:24 UTC

Ive never owned an AR15 rifle, im actually not a fan of the platform but figured i should have one because of ammo sharing with friends

2021-03-07 14:06:51 UTC

That and wanted something with a light and red dot for dark

2021-03-07 14:08:37 UTC

Yeah I'm hoping it won't be to difficult

2021-03-07 14:08:59 UTC

Why not?

2021-03-07 14:09:01 UTC

I prefer AKs and other piston OPs

2021-03-07 14:09:32 UTC

ARs are direct inpingement so all the dirt and carbon of operation is blasted right into the operating system

2021-03-07 14:11:34 UTC

The red is hot gas and dirt

2021-03-07 14:14:33 UTC

I didn't know that

2021-03-07 14:14:55 UTC

AKs are long-stroke piston

2021-03-07 14:15:05 UTC

Less comfortable to shoot but more reliable

2021-03-07 14:15:19 UTC

ARs are easy peasy to shoot, basicly no recoil

2021-03-07 14:17:43 UTC

Silencers make guns run faster/harder (usially) because it adds more gas pressure to the system

2021-03-07 14:18:57 UTC

Hmmm very interesting 🤔

2021-03-07 14:19:24 UTC

They have a huge spring that catches the bolt as it goes back

2021-03-07 14:20:07 UTC

Does this end up giving the gun more wear and tear?

2021-03-07 14:20:26 UTC

Not really, almost all guns are overbuilt

2021-03-07 14:20:59 UTC

If your AR runs too hard you can add an adjustable gas block to bleed off pressure, or a heavier buffer to slow the spring

2021-03-07 14:20:59 UTC

looks at hi point*

2021-03-07 14:21:11 UTC

**most**

2021-03-07 14:22:07 UTC

See spring

2021-03-07 14:22:42 UTC

Keeps the recoil low down and soft because of the very small round it shoots

2021-03-07 14:24:40 UTC

can u convert it to a piston system or has that not been something someone wanted for their ar

2021-03-07 14:25:09 UTC

Yes

2021-03-07 14:25:17 UTC

Thats AKA an AR18

2021-03-07 14:25:29 UTC

Theres many AR variants
