And funny enough catholics was the ones that came up as dressing up to scare the Ghost, ect off.

2021-02-15 04:07:33 UTC

Look, I'm still going to celebrate halloween as a festival for the passing of Saints. I am still going to celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Christ. It is not wrong to turn a symbol from worship of evil and turn it to the worship of good, because a symbol and a date cannot be, in and of themselves, evil.

2021-02-15 04:07:47 UTC

A pine tree is not evil.

2021-02-15 04:07:52 UTC

Why worship the dead when they have no power?

2021-02-15 04:07:55 UTC

A skull is not evil.

2021-02-15 04:08:08 UTC

It is not worship.

2021-02-15 04:08:31 UTC

Really...did u not see them vote? 👀

2021-02-15 04:08:46 UTC

Yes it is. Don't you remember Jesus said let the dead bury the dead.

2021-02-15 04:09:26 UTC

Same chirstmas isn't a problem

2021-02-15 04:11:05 UTC

Skulls are pieces of calcium left over after we die. They do not have any sort of moral alignment.

We associate them with death for obvious reasons. We also do not like touching the dead for obvious purposes of hygiene.

2021-02-15 04:11:24 UTC

That does not make them evil.

2021-02-15 04:12:12 UTC

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.
I Corinthians 10:21

And Halloween has many people dressed up as demons and demonic things ect.

2021-02-15 04:13:21 UTC

And do we say that Demons are good? Do we tout their moral superiority over angels?

2021-02-15 04:14:03 UTC

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
Ephesians 5:11

Halloween also is a day of darkness where witchcraft is done many other disgusting things

2021-02-15 04:14:24 UTC

Evil cannot lay claim to a date.

2021-02-15 04:14:36 UTC

That's insanity.

2021-02-15 04:16:31 UTC

nor give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27

You giving the devil the chance to distrack you

2021-02-15 04:16:37 UTC

Demons are Evil. Now there may be some rational argument for saying "Maybe adults should not dress as demons because children may confuse that with glorifying evil." But even then, that's doing a disservice to your child, because it assumes they are stupid and cannot learn the difference.

2021-02-15 04:17:37 UTC

Now, if you're actually practicing witchcraft, I do not condone that as a Christian. The rules there are very clear.

2021-02-15 04:18:21 UTC

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 ESV

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
I Peter 5:8‭-‬9 NKJV

You need to know that the devil is cunning

2021-02-15 04:19:00 UTC

Any can use anything to make it look good but is actually bad

2021-02-15 04:19:38 UTC

If you're letting evil have claim over a date, then it is exactly that. You are ceding ground to them. Why?

2021-02-15 04:20:58 UTC

Abstain from every form of evil.
I Thessalonians 5:22

Halloween is a day of evil, when they come to my door can feel evil and nothing good can come from Halloween

2021-02-15 04:21:53 UTC

I do not believe so. I feel mostly nothing when children dressed for fun come to my door.

2021-02-15 04:21:58 UTC

If you are not glorifying God then why participate in halloween

2021-02-15 04:22:11 UTC

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

2021-02-15 04:22:18 UTC

So when someone dressed as a disney princess rings your doorbell and asks for candy you can feel evil exuding from the interaction?

2021-02-15 04:22:39 UTC

May sound strange but yes

2021-02-15 04:22:50 UTC

Actually, you can Glorify god on Halloween.

2021-02-15 04:23:00 UTC

Didn't we also have an alternative celebration to subvert halloween, like the harvest festival or reformation day. So folks won't to the witchcraft and pagany thing on the same day. I get how we did subvert evil pagan halloween with trick or treat halloween (or another more "wholesome" activity). 🤷‍♀️

2021-02-15 04:23:27 UTC

How is that evil though? She’s just dressing up as her role model and asking for candy

2021-02-15 04:24:08 UTC

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Usually it's an indirect way of glorification. Halloween, at least as I see it, is All Saints Day. Saints are not something you pray to. Saints are simply those who worshipped in life and have moved on. So it's a great day to sit and teach about any remarkable ancestors you have. And many families do have remarkable ancestors who walked in the ways of Christianity.

2021-02-15 04:25:09 UTC

I don't know how it works but i think the caths do halloween to comemorate "all saints day -eve" like we all get ready for Christmas on "Christmas eve" 🤔

2021-02-15 04:25:26 UTC

I like to look at it like this kidnappers you use can to get the kids so the car and before you know the kid is kidnapped. Now look it like this the devil is the kidnappers and preying on your innocents by using candy to distract you and take you away from your father which is God

2021-02-15 04:25:49 UTC

Is it similar to day of the Dead?

2021-02-15 04:26:04 UTC

I would say yes

2021-02-15 04:26:20 UTC

Day of the Dead is the Mexican version of saying "All Saints Day."

2021-02-15 04:26:26 UTC

Can you rephrase the first sentence cause grammatical it doesn’t make sense for what you’re trying to say
