I do over use the elimination when I could’ve done substation a lot

It all depends on how easy it is to isolate the variable. If you isolate a variable but you hav e fractions, it’s better to use elimination instead

such as 5y + 4x = 5. If you isolate a variable you get a fraction which is pretty annoying
