2018-10-15 16:35:07 UTC

2018-10-15 16:35:08 UTC

2018-10-15 16:35:21 UTC

2018-10-15 16:35:35 UTC

Economic capital + and cultural capital -

2018-10-15 16:35:40 UTC

right below votes right

2018-10-15 16:35:45 UTC

oh shit

2018-10-15 16:35:46 UTC

i see

2018-10-15 16:35:50 UTC

2018-10-15 16:36:01 UTC

WHY ARE THEY SAYING HIKING IS GAY

2018-10-15 16:36:11 UTC

Dude, give it up on the hiking

2018-10-15 16:36:16 UTC

its just an estimate

2018-10-15 16:36:24 UTC

Explain please

2018-10-15 16:36:25 UTC

as in, not concrete

2018-10-15 16:36:49 UTC

if you hike recreationally you probably have high cultural capital is what its saying

2018-10-15 16:37:06 UTC

not necessarily a bad thing

2018-10-15 16:37:07 UTC

So im a smart nigga

2018-10-15 16:37:10 UTC

I don't actually have the research paper that it came from

2018-10-15 16:37:13 UTC

wish I did

2018-10-15 16:37:27 UTC

now that i understand it i like it

2018-10-15 16:37:37 UTC

grug no like things grug no seen before

2018-10-15 16:38:17 UTC

Yeah, well I have yet to make my mind up on it. I need to read more into it. The theory is far from anything but a theory, however. And it was made by a frenchman.

2018-10-15 16:38:35 UTC

Oh so its gay and retarded

2018-10-15 16:38:43 UTC

<:dab:402362224527671306>

2018-10-15 16:40:03 UTC

Yeah, well I'm not sure about. I've read research studies like these where they basically make a moral claim over society that is left leaning by the time the conclusion rolls around. I am not sure yet if that is what Bourdieu is doing in his study

2018-10-15 16:40:26 UTC

Wish I had his paper

2018-10-15 16:40:31 UTC

I can't seem to find it

2018-10-15 16:41:04 UTC

wouldnt society be naturally right leaning under this theory - because most people have little cultural capital?

2018-10-15 16:41:14 UTC

or does the economic side outweigh it

2018-10-15 16:41:58 UTC

I guess it would depend on what he defines as Cultural and Economic Capital

2018-10-15 16:42:20 UTC

and it seems like a theory that cant possibly apply to modern america because it cant account for racial dynamics

2018-10-15 16:42:32 UTC

which skew things alot i think

2018-10-15 16:42:42 UTC

From what I have read so far, people do seem to think it is outdated a bit

2018-10-15 16:44:37 UTC

Ngl bro

2018-10-15 16:44:41 UTC

Who cares
