@AngloCelticRebel it's all a matter of perspective really, from an Irish nationalist perspective we'll view any attempt at watering down the ethnic distinction as treason from the mouth of another Irishman, so you won't catch me using it, tho I can see your point
@NormanLord yeah, i wouldn't consider it watering down but i get what you're saying
@NormanLord This is what imeant, it's easier to draw out than type
Its a branch off of the tree
I get the idea it's just if we consider the English presence in Ireland to be alien it doesn't exactly help our cause charting a family tree which includes them lol
Lol tru
But it helps if you want a Confederacy of the Anglo-Celtic nations....
Otherwise known as an English empire
Well
In a sense there is one developing
Given how the Trump admin hijacked CANZUK
And Brexit
no not Empire
that would mean England was the superior party
I would want an equal member status thing
autonomy in their egions
regions
work together foreign
and econmically
Kinda like the CSA somewhat
By virtue of its population, economic and military power England will always dominate any relationship with it, the only way such a thing would be feasible is if England itself were broken into its provinces as separate states
Plus
Thats why I'm saying a confederacy, they cant vote on irish matters etc vice versa
no domination
in constituion they are equal
Real Irish, Welsh, Scottish nationalists etc want a completely different civilisation to the English one, our mouths are dirtied by even speaking their language as far as we're concerned
this is true
if only they could come together again tho, think of what a restored english empire could do
Its called Israel😂

I get what you're saying, I've even got English and Scots blood, Cromwellian planter English blood what's more, but even the suggestion of any relationship with England is abhorrent to most Irish people
yes unfortunateely
We're probably the only Europeans who cheered at brexit because it meant we were a little farther removed from them
heh
It's not even just Irish people either even in England northerners despise southern English
but doesnt brexit cause problems for you? hard border?
Hell even Ulster Unionists don't get on with the English lmao
Hard border is good for Irish nationalism
thats what i thought
The soft border made partition seem less real
resurgent IRA
