I figured it out but the pop up for microphone usage will not come up. I have reloaded six times and it still will not work.
ok go into the setting scroll for voice and video that will show you options for voice or you can reinstall
that works alot

@sunsetti_spaghetti dont use the browser version if that is what you ar doing! It is garbage! You have to use the App!

downloaded finally, somehow, we're having all sorts of fun on my end.
Ok go down to the bottom left corner and click on the cog wheel for settings and go in to voice and video and make sure your headset name is above the input header

My uncle, the man's voice, came out from California and because he's blind he asked me to help him set up discord for the day. As you can tell, I'm not IT guy.
@sunsetti_spaghetti if you have the push to talk set then you have to puck a button to use for the pushin part. So where it says record keybind, hit record and then push the button you wish to use and then hit stop record. Trt using the left ctrl button
