I have a PhD in Chemistry. we evacute huge chambers every day with modest vacuum pumps

no gas ever "sticks" to the bottom 🙂

Why can’t the pressure gradient continues untill it reaches a near vacuum

and that's in Earth's "gravity"

if gravity could hold a gas to the surface against a vacuum pump...we could never evacuate chambers

but we do

If the sun was that close to earth the sunn would crash into earth too.

Or it would burn.
