what in some of the art?
the rules are fine for beginners and casuals
and I consider myself a casual after 15 years of hardcore dnd
because I can't take it anymore
lol
says the 40k player
that's different
40k takes a day
per "game"
my friends won't do a campaign with me
https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2018/07/wizards-of-the-coast-reportedly-severs-ties-with-boogie2988-for-associating-with-unsleeved-media/62850/ you will be banned from wotc events just because you did speak to the "wrong" person on twitter
dear god
but he's the switzerland of social discourse
also I only play 5e now because I'm done making shitloads of homebrew
which I'm too tempted to do in any other system
I failed to stop myself even in the current campaign, any mage class can only use a single school of magic per five levels
I knew MTG is going to shit, but its just pathetic how they sunk
I wonder how bad yugioh is in terms of this
I know 4kids and UDE censored some cards
from what I have seen, they do not follow the same standards as MTG as they wants to be seen as family friendly and at least dont let pedos run amok at tournaments
the card prices, while cheaper than MTG and with more foils and reprints, are still high
Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay is another $100 staple you need 3 of
Rip
i refuse playing anything greater than 3.5e, well, i don't really refuse since i haven't been offered. everyone i could play with know how i feel the progression of dnd editions
yeah i've heard good things of pathfinder, wife plays it quite religiously
i didn't learn all those rules to throw them away right away, dnd is getting more "normie" in lack of a better word
pathfinder 2e?
is it pure fantasy or does it have tech?
k, can't remember what that one was that was a mix of dnd and cyberpunk. it was entertaining for a while
shadowrun?
but i guess it's too old to be relevant anymore
but does it translate to online?
like d20 or similar environments
i don't think an rpg can survive if it's purely pen & paper
more of a niche thing these days
non-online i meant, pen & paper for me is hard to find even if i just want to verify for nsfw server
as a fictional example
yeah it's not a dweeb thing to play rp games
anymore
haha yeah, even though the rules have gone a lot of PC changes. making them more easy to swallow. cyberpunk wouldn't be able to exist and probably doesn't anymore
