But creedmoor as a sniper rifle🤣 give me a fucking break🤣

2019-04-06 05:27:25 UTC

Like your marginal improvement over 7.62 NATO is pointless as a sniper...When you should be using a fucking .300 win mag in the first place

2019-04-06 05:29:20 UTC

A .338 magnum lapua is a good sniper

2019-04-06 06:13:15 UTC

@Duke of Mecklenburg late reply: 6.5 CM being useless

Not really, decent ballistics, better CE, half the recoil of 7.62. Also helps streamline military supply if they switch to a 6.5 infantry rifle. So in that it does have some logic to it.

2019-04-06 08:08:11 UTC

6.5 creedmoor will NEVER be a standard issue infantry rifle cartridge

2019-04-06 08:08:19 UTC
2019-04-06 08:08:27 UTC

6.5 Grendal might

2019-04-06 08:08:44 UTC

Thats what i was saying

2019-04-06 08:09:07 UTC

Army has an open contract for a 6.5mm round for an infantry rifle

2019-04-06 08:09:29 UTC

Why use the 6.5 as a sniper round? Its mediocre as all hell...the 300wm is already the standard sniper cartridge which has double the effective range

2019-04-06 08:09:49 UTC

The grendal and the creedmoor use different bullets tho

2019-04-06 08:09:58 UTC

The grendal doesnt use the 143

2019-04-06 08:10:00 UTC

Grain

2019-04-06 08:10:07 UTC

It uses 120

2019-04-06 08:11:49 UTC

Its not ment to snipe. Its a designated marksmens round

2019-04-06 08:12:08 UTC

The creedmoor is a definite improvement over the .308, but still

2019-04-06 08:12:31 UTC

I could understand if it's used in an AR-10 platform

2019-04-06 08:12:38 UTC

what's so good about the creedmoor?

2019-04-06 08:12:54 UTC

Creedmoor as the DMR or sub 900m round, and another 6.5/8mm for new infantry rifles

2019-04-06 08:13:18 UTC

Not much....
Its bullet just has a good ballistic coefficient so it's better than .308/7.62nato

2019-04-06 08:13:31 UTC

@galesteppes light as fuck recoil

2019-04-06 08:13:40 UTC

8ish ftlbs

2019-04-06 08:14:09 UTC

Good BC, does decent out to 1k if you had to

2019-04-06 08:14:23 UTC

So it's a round with a bit more impact than 5.56 but not as much recoil as 7.62?

2019-04-06 08:14:32 UTC

No

2019-04-06 08:14:43 UTC

It's nealy just as powerful as 7.62

2019-04-06 08:14:46 UTC

please enlighten me

2019-04-06 08:14:56 UTC

And more powerful out at further ranges due to the bc

2019-04-06 08:15:01 UTC

I've never heard of this round before

2019-04-06 08:16:03 UTC

The 6.5 grendal is a middle ground between 5.56 and 7.62....
The Creedmoor on the other hand is superior to the 7.62 in every way

2019-04-06 08:16:18 UTC

Since the 2 are confused alot

2019-04-06 08:16:40 UTC

Creedmoor doesnt out preform till 500yrd mark

2019-04-06 08:16:53 UTC

Within that its either or

2019-04-06 08:17:03 UTC

What's is it again? Only 2,700 with a 143 grain?

2019-04-06 08:17:27 UTC

Isnt the 7.62 like 2,700 with a 150 tho?<:thronk:441701565607444482>

2019-04-06 08:17:41 UTC

Close. Its an ish game unless your hand loading

2019-04-06 08:17:57 UTC

It's an ish game regardless

2019-04-06 08:18:42 UTC

Even handloading you see a 10ft/s deviation for some reason...maybe the reading being read wrong...

2019-04-06 08:18:52 UTC

Atleast I do

2019-04-06 08:19:11 UTC

With factory loads you get a 50 deviation about

2019-04-06 08:19:20 UTC

Depending
