2019-05-03 23:21:44 UTC

it is ironic

2019-05-03 23:21:58 UTC

@MountainMan Felons can vote in the US, just after a certain amount of time

2019-05-03 23:22:01 UTC

meh

2019-05-03 23:22:12 UTC

@Fitzydog Sounds fair enough tbh. Do you know how long?

2019-05-03 23:22:27 UTC

where theres somalis, theres problems. ie. Ilhan Omar

2019-05-03 23:22:27 UTC

Idk, I think it depends?

2019-05-03 23:22:45 UTC

Ahhh okay.

2019-05-03 23:22:55 UTC

tbh thats the only sane thing imo

2019-05-03 23:23:49 UTC

This felon voter thing is a blatant vote grab

2019-05-03 23:24:10 UTC

And it's because our schools no longer teach civics

2019-05-03 23:24:21 UTC

Only critic I have against it is the possibility of it being abused by a state

2019-05-03 23:24:45 UTC

even if the state wont do it, I dont like the possibility.

2019-05-03 23:25:13 UTC

Imagine the state throwing you into prison for a little time for being a political dissenter, and then boom. Cant vote.

2019-05-03 23:25:28 UTC

So I'm very clawn on the question

2019-05-03 23:25:34 UTC

Well that's not a crime nor felony

2019-05-03 23:25:59 UTC

I'm sorry, but what is the translation of "a felony"?

2019-05-03 23:26:21 UTC

Crimes above petty misdemeanors

2019-05-03 23:26:26 UTC

Ahh okay

2019-05-03 23:26:50 UTC

Yeah I'm just thinking of places like Russia were public protesting and the likes can give you a prison sentence.

2019-05-03 23:26:54 UTC

You have to fuck up royally to get a felony

2019-05-03 23:27:09 UTC

Yeah I just misunderstood the meaning before hahahahahaha

2019-05-03 23:27:20 UTC

I thought of just crime in general

2019-05-03 23:27:30 UTC

lol no

2019-05-03 23:27:53 UTC

Thatd be dumb is you got a speeding ticket and lost your voting privileges

2019-05-03 23:28:06 UTC

Yeah of course hahahahahahahah

2019-05-03 23:29:01 UTC

Are obstruction of justice and drug possession felonies?

2019-05-03 23:29:23 UTC

The first is, the second depends on location

2019-05-03 23:29:59 UTC

Most states have marijuana possession as a misdemeanor or are decriminalized

2019-05-03 23:30:06 UTC

Ok that is very good

2019-05-03 23:30:11 UTC

Very small amounts though

2019-05-03 23:30:49 UTC

Because the idea of people getting into rough shit because of smoking some pot is pretty weird imo

2019-05-03 23:31:06 UTC

There's some states like that still

2019-05-03 23:31:09 UTC

Texas

2019-05-03 23:31:14 UTC

Ahhh shite mate.

2019-05-03 23:31:30 UTC

Here its 100% legal

2019-05-03 23:31:41 UTC

Except for federal stuff

2019-05-03 23:32:09 UTC

No possession on federal property, no use by fed employees, or sub contractors and things like that

2019-05-03 23:32:46 UTC

Yeah.

2019-05-03 23:38:58 UTC

The felon thing is state to state. Which makes the whole thing more retarded. Some states you can never get it back, Others there is a process for it.

2019-05-03 23:43:39 UTC

While weeds illegal in some states like Texas, CBD hemp is legal and I feel in 2020 it’s going to be a big point of contention (Texas tried decriminalizing a couple days ago but died in senate), but hopefully trump picks up on it and finds a way of stealing it from democrats seeing that he used to be democrat and may see money in it
