<:pepe_sweat:378719424548569088>

2019-03-24 23:26:56 UTC

Oh god.

2019-03-24 23:27:03 UTC

How many people lost their lives?

2019-03-24 23:27:06 UTC

fucking hell

2019-03-24 23:40:26 UTC

I wonder how Cruz is doing right now?

2019-03-24 23:40:44 UTC

How does he feel that his killstreak is still going up years later?

2019-03-24 23:40:51 UTC

Has he even been told of this news?

2019-03-24 23:52:38 UTC

Yeah, happens.

2019-03-24 23:57:34 UTC

No reason to care about mental health in this country. I see no problem here.

2019-03-24 23:57:44 UTC

Everything is just fine.

2019-03-25 00:04:20 UTC

If we tried to fix the problem, the government would make it far worse.

2019-03-25 02:14:27 UTC

who are we in this scenario?

2019-03-25 02:30:25 UTC

Mental health is a complicated problem that there is no easy solution to. but the way we are doing Mental health now is not the solution at all

2019-03-25 02:38:45 UTC

the problem is probably that human mentality can't be subtracted into separate diagnoses, every mind is unique

2019-03-25 02:40:33 UTC

yea, each problem is different but they have similarities

2019-03-25 02:41:53 UTC

true, mood medications try to normalize the mind so it can be treated more effectively. at the other end of the spectrum are neuroleptics which turn you into a zombie

2019-03-25 02:42:07 UTC

Also, the lack of fathers in households

2019-03-25 02:42:28 UTC

the point of mental treatment is turn the fucker into a more working part of the society instead of fixing their mind

2019-03-25 02:42:56 UTC

Yes

2019-03-25 02:44:57 UTC

some problem can be treated with medicaments, like schizophrenia, other you need to work on with therapy and such, the problem is that we know that male and females reacts totally different to the same therapy skill

2019-03-25 02:47:16 UTC

like the most normal way to treat a PTSD have been to have a speak about it therapy session . it works wonders for females but the data shows it makes it even worse for men. so bad that you have an increased risk of killing yourself after a session as a male

2019-03-25 02:48:44 UTC

soldiers with ptsd react differently to therapy than civilians, especially marines as they've been brainwashed to think they are devil dogs

2019-03-25 02:49:56 UTC

yea that dont help on top of that it turn out making soldiers remember such horrible trauma does not help at all

2019-03-25 02:50:06 UTC

So... this is bad.

I just tried to find any sort of line chart showing mental illness rates for ANY sort of time period on google images

2019-03-25 02:50:16 UTC

Nothing

2019-03-25 02:51:48 UTC

mood disorders aren't generally considered mental illness anyway, it's reserved more for schizophrenia and psychosis. people with really fucked up minds

2019-03-25 02:52:19 UTC

I still want to track that as well

2019-03-25 02:52:20 UTC

or brains, it's considered more a neural condition these days

2019-03-25 02:53:26 UTC

schizophrenia needs a genetic disposition to form and probably some earth shattering trauma like incest etc.

2019-03-25 02:56:13 UTC

@Nordhand No, because I wanted to track it against US church attendance

2019-03-25 02:57:21 UTC

you think church people are the loony toons or opposite?

2019-03-25 02:57:30 UTC

The opposite

2019-03-25 02:57:48 UTC

I have a feeling mental distress has gone up as church attendance has gone down

2019-03-25 02:57:50 UTC

religion can't be considered a mental illness due to it being buried so deep in our collective psyche. it's been only 100-200 years that atheism has even been a thing.

2019-03-25 02:58:07 UTC

oh, that's different naturally
