Sexy as fuck
I guess there's two things I'll address
- My understanding is that the inaccurate translation of the Treaty was an accident, not malicious. Hence the framing of the relationship between the Crown and the Maori tribes as a toxic relationship is somewhat inaccurate, perhaps a (at the time, anyway) misunderstood relationship is more fitting.
- I'm not inherently opposed to a greater emphasis on Maori culture, but like with the situation in South Africa, how it is reached matters.
hbu?

TRUE
well
mostly anyway
a few token Maori words as is the norm around here
Also, her culture IS inferior to British culture.
I do find it pretty interesting how the majority of words are just transliterated English
including names
Transliterated?
Yeah so the name Anne-Marie is Rangi-Mari
for example
Oh okay
Or the word captain is Kāpene
Sounds like Pigin almost
But let's face it: People like her don't want to actually 'decolonize'.
They're just racist against whites, and want to reap all the benefits of becoming westernized.
No more antibiotics for them
*Decolonized*
