it's a poor way of saying thanks
he was blowing it in the officer's face
our police force is pretty weak concerning minoirities
grounds for brutality
that is like a public safety thing, blowing it in someone's face, it should be seen as like an attempt to incapacitate
I dont want my cops to have to check a person's skintone to see if they can do their job or not
What country is this in?
From the ridiculous police uniform, I'm guessing UK.
What's going on with MakerSupport?
I've read up quite a bit for quite a while about it, but nothing's adding up.
It's also fun noting that there's no way to delete an account on MakerSupport.
You might look at some new thing called Maven too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwW7NeBwkfw&t=1s
It's not the same, its more of a youtubish/adsupported model than a patreonish model
It's becoming increasingly difficult for the content creators to exist on the platforms who endlessly promised their support.
MakerSupport seems to be the next screw-up in a series of wounds that will hurt future alternatives to Patreon.
Hope something works out
its not an entirely difficult service to set up, i'd imagine
It's sad to see a lack of genuine business practices in these times.
The problem is payment processors
But that's not the only problem
I feel that MakerSupport highlights the alternative problem causes in this situation, where the service itself does not communicate with it's users.
Well it goes beyond adult content.
Look at how banks responded to the parkland shooting
link
It's whatever they want to be considered to be bannable.
that is its own terrifying problem in itself
Payment Processors today are essentially what the Catholic Church was. Even the Templar knights weren't above their scrutiny.
Is there any neutral processors?
I don't think so
I wonder if the crackdown on crypto is partly due to payment processors
I don't care if people find new ways to pay for services.
I can see payment processors care
It removes their ability to weaponize money they don't own
people are talking s††† about HSBC for claiming to be politically neutral and supporting conservative party financially, but thats britian, and this may not be helpful info
The increasing dependency on electronic payments is alienating and extinguishing the crowd of people who deny trusting the banks for securing or using their money.
Worth isn't worth anything unless you're using money that you don't own.
Although this has been a force in the world for a long time, it's increasingly becoming the only option.
