work for the dole used to be alright

done it at three locations

on location was great

was at a cafe

and they treated me well

it made me feel valued

the other 2 times where at salvos

and they let you know how expendable you where

at least at a cafe you learn cooking stuff

but at salvos
you only learn how to work at salvos

had loads of fun doing that, start work at 9 buliding bikes, 11:00 morning tea, go back to work, 1:30 lunch time, head over to the oval nearby and smoke a few billies with a couple of others then trod back to work, finish at 3:30 and be home in time for 4:20

it was out the back in the heat sorting boxes of clothes

while the trained staff looked at you like scum

the cafe was great

you got free lunch and drinks

working in the cafe really got me into cooking

I loved the cafe

but the contract stoped

it was heaven

you show up

they give ya breakfast

and then lunch

you got free drinks and ice cream

and you felt so valued that the work felt good

at salvos everyone half assed it

yeah rather feel appreciated for all the hard work your doing then being put down

at the cafe everyone gave it there all

the problem with work for the dole

to many places used it to hire less people

i ended up in tafe after that

learning to cook

so work for the dole does actually push you in a way

if you get a good place
