Moon cycles. Centre is the sun
Nice
This pattern is common in a lot of muslim art
Btw is or has poetry been a big thing in the US?
Not since the Civil war
I see
In kurdish culture, poetry is huge, and pretty normal.
Even my uncle does it <:GWcorbinTopKek:384871333705678868>
I've no idea why thouhg
We have some interesting forms of poetry in English
Because of our sentence structures
I trained in reading kurdish by reading poems mostly, because of their ubandance. They're all really sad or about the love for community/parents/country
Or about love
Prose is a weird one that I don't think non native speakers can easily pick up on
Yeah we call it prosa in swedish
Normal here too
Oh okay
We learnt a little bit about it in swedish class
We learnt a bit about poetry and stuff in general
Like hexameter in roman or greek I dont really remember
Totally forgot it

It was some compilation of student poems for 2010
Kurdish poems can translate pretty weird into english
here's one:
"I hold the pistol to my heart
My hand over a place in my mind
One two three
When I know you are here
The numbers reverse
Three two one
My finger loosens
Men
Always
Disturb my work"
