because asians are still based?
And they believe in skills before degenerates
there is no way all the universities will be able to do this, without out of country hiring of extremely underqualified people. The "problem" is evident at career stages well before post secondary
and they are again assuming that interest in all areas of science is 100% evenly distributed across all demographics
which it isnt
but im sure there are a few funded research chairs doing work to show its all discrimination and _huwite privilege_
Yea. All it does is delue the actual talent pool
delue ? dilute?
Dilute
ah
ive seen multiple articles in ACM (main academic org in computer science) magazine arguing that there is a dearth of women because _men_ have systematically discriminated against them and forced them out of the field
the white knighting is extreme
Bullshit. Females dont want jobs that demand them to have a 100h work week minimum
its not even that. they just arent as interested in computer science
and i will admit there may be a factor of many creepy anti social geeks being really into computers
That too. And they get angry when you bring up the Norwegian diversity paradox
its almost like they want to force women to study computer science
lol
Funny how oppressed Iranian woman are engineers
Whereas liberated western wahmen are leeches
they know that the only way to gtfo of their theocratic shithole country is to excel in a field that will get them a job
its a large degree of pragmatism
It the paradox in practice. The more free your society is more likely females will pick a stereotype gender job
so many women ive known in engineering and computer science shift as soon as possible to more people oriented roles as well
or pivot into bizdev or do an MBA to avoid technical work
because they dont like it
and thats fine
yeah but if people being free to choose what they want results in "gendered roles" then clearly its patriarchy and women dont actually want that
Yea if they want to be a nurse so what
at some point the whole "societal pressure" argument is going to fizzle out
there is quite a bit of societal pressure now for women to go into traditionally male dominated roles
Norway did spend millions to get females in to stem fields and the result was that even less females did apply for it
and if they continue to _not_ do that ... what will they say then?
hahaha
yeah my uni here in another euro country spends great effort trying to attract women at all levels
students, grad, profs etc
The recruitment did go back up when the recruitment drive did stop
my advisor ( a dean) said its barely working lol
esp in comp sci .... but if you look at bio/chem/architecture, its female dominated
Know teachers that hates the stay as school if you don't know what you are going to work as mentality
Don't have a plan on your education. Get a job until you find out
