The story of Tarkus:
Eruption;
Tarkus is born in a volcanic eruption which is symbolic of his violent future. He leaves the eruption and rides off to conquer and destroy all his enemies.
Stones of Years;
Tarkus encounters his first "enemy", The Stones of Years. The Stones of Years attempts to speak to Tarkus, not knowing he is deaf. The Stones of Years tries to tell him about his future, thinking it might cause him to change his ways. Due to Tarkus not being able to hear him, He is run over, hence the "Have you walked on the Stones of Years".
Iconoclast;
Tarkus meets his next enemy, the Iconoclast. The beast suddenly appears, having a similar mindset to Tarkus, and a battle begins immediately. The fight is cut short though, as his Next enemy, Mass, kills the iconoclast. The iconoclast is only an instrumental part, and is cut off by the guitar on Mass.
Mass;
The next enemy, Mass, after killing the Iconoclast, attacks tarkus. Mass tells Tarkus of what he has seen, and what he has done, in an attempt to sway Tarkus from his way of life. Tarkus does not hear Mass, so a battle soon occurs. Tarkus shoots down Mass with his turrets, and moves on to his last enemy, the Manticore.
Manticore;
The final enemy of Tarkus, the Manticore, has found Tarkus. The Manticore knows that because Tarkus is deaf, there is no possible way to end his tyranny, except through his death. A battle begins, and the Manticore finally defeats Tarkus.
Battlefield;
The Manticore talks to the ghost of Tarkus, and shows him how cruel he was in life. Tarkus, now seeing the error of his ways, is reborn as Aquatarkus.
Aquatarkus;
To pay for his crimes, Tarkus is reborn, but not as himself, but as a version of himself that can only survive in water, despite not being suited well to the enviroment. This is his punishment, and he must live with it to pay for his crimes done to his victims.
