I don't subscribe to that notion.
it works out because the enemy of your enemy is your friend
so you still get a bunch of friends

Way off topic, but I found out I can send gifs as messages via phone.
_what has science done_
also aren't we kinda in the process of replacing gifs with webm
They also take like 3 years to send.
webm's made correct are supposedly smaller than gifs though
unless you can count the number of frames on one hand
it's relevant because codec is reaching the point where it's outsizing gifs (as in, smaller outcome)
This is all way above my paygrade, friend.
So if I'm getting the gist:
Gifs are large, and cumbersome, and they are also very poor quality in regards to image.
Webms are small, and sleek, and has better picture quality.
yes, but the process of encoding is much more ehm powerfull and fully featured so
you can also purposely make a very large file with very bad settings for making the webm or if you don't care too much about it you'll get kinda average results
codecs are getting very strong, I download tv episodes in x265 a lot and that's like 300mb for a 1080p 45min video
Damn son. Tech isn't my strong suit, if I'm being honest. What I'm gathering is that webms are also more forgiving when it comes to formatting them?
I'm just about to go to bed.
