@Locke That may be why then. Over in 'Western' culture this seems increasing common.

2019-04-30 13:24:19 UTC

Not all western culture

2019-04-30 13:24:29 UTC

I don't want to dox myself, so the max I will say is I live in the Mediterranean

2019-04-30 13:24:52 UTC

which due to catholicism is more conservative than 'mainstream' Europe and the Anglosphere

2019-04-30 13:25:10 UTC

And we are still in the phase where the insane crap is contained in universities... so far

2019-04-30 13:25:12 UTC

Big long Italy kicked poor Sicily into the middle of the Mediterranean sea

2019-04-30 13:25:33 UTC

Somehow remembering a school quote from 20 years ago or more..

2019-04-30 13:25:42 UTC

Sicilia is paradise

2019-04-30 13:26:36 UTC

But yeah

2019-04-30 13:26:48 UTC

My school experience won't be the same as yours for sure

2019-04-30 13:26:57 UTC

Do you guys have a 'head teacher' per class?

2019-04-30 14:44:37 UTC

We just have one teacher. @Locke

2019-04-30 14:45:31 UTC

I used to know a chef who was kinda obsessed with Sicilian ingredients. :)

2019-04-30 15:00:31 UTC

Okay, in our case we have different teachers per class, with one of them being the 'head teacher'

2019-04-30 15:00:44 UTC

Our head teacher would basically tell us neither of us would amount to anything

2019-04-30 15:01:18 UTC

I think by class he means subject

2019-04-30 15:01:34 UTC

Schools have a head of mathematics and such

2019-04-30 15:01:54 UTC

oh

2019-04-30 15:02:40 UTC

We do have teaching assistants, but not for every class, it depends really

2019-04-30 15:02:48 UTC

That's sort of the same

2019-04-30 15:04:49 UTC

The way our school system is going it seems to be increasing the ratio of students per teacher, not lessening it by having multiple teachers per class haha

2019-04-30 15:18:37 UTC

@Locke Wow that's bad.

2019-04-30 15:19:00 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla Sounds about right. Don't know if we have subject leaders

2019-04-30 15:19:31 UTC

@Men Are Human all the guys she singled out saying they wouldn't ever become anything ended up being the only ones graduating from university 😂

2019-04-30 15:20:08 UTC

Wow, really?

2019-04-30 15:20:48 UTC

Did she just single out boys or was she equally crappy to both genders?

2019-04-30 15:23:20 UTC

@Men Are Human heads of maths and other subjects coordinate GCSE study with the other set teachers, plan some of the syllabus for those classes I think

2019-04-30 16:07:31 UTC

@Men Are Human I honestly cannot remember if she singled out girls too, but she was more lenient with them.

2019-04-30 16:07:34 UTC

She basically hated us

2019-04-30 16:14:19 UTC

@InsaneCaterpilla Seems similar then

2019-04-30 16:17:02 UTC

@Locke She sounds like an awful person. I have heard of studies showing teachers tend to mark boys down and discourage them while bolstering girls. It creates classes where the top boy is marked less than the bottom girl. That's not even the only problem.

2019-04-30 16:18:19 UTC

I'll be honest with you.

2019-04-30 16:18:25 UTC

It wasn't like that.

2019-04-30 16:18:40 UTC

I've had gender-based discriminatory teachers but it wasn't that way in her case.

2019-04-30 16:20:23 UTC

2019-04-30 18:01:54 UTC

@Locke That's good to know. I don't want you to make things up.

2019-04-30 18:02:21 UTC

Hello @WerPrz#9418 ! How are you?

2019-04-30 18:16:47 UTC

2019-04-30 21:02:35 UTC

Hello @ko ! How are you tonight?

2019-04-30 21:09:40 UTC

Any of you doing NoFap?
