People tell me I am crazy and overreacting because I go to Tinder dates armed.

Yet I don't put it past me for the guy I am going on a date with to be a homophobe ready to rape me and kill me in an abandoned corner.

If I was in America I would absolutely open carry for exactly the same reasons, though it is a very slim chance even there. In Russia, however, it's basically a full on occupational hazard.

I'm not in America, so I don't use a gun. I use knives. But if I were in America you can bet your ass I'd have one.

It's as good as illegal there. If the police caught you with another man, you'd probably be beaten and maybe framed for something.

Weird thing is Russia largely seems to view gayness as some kind of western conspiracy to distroy Russia - at least according to some Google translated arguments I had with a bunch of Russians.
