Sulfur Crested Cockatoo - molests it's young before maturity ..

2019-07-17 18:03:17 UTC

@lucid a horned owl

2019-07-17 18:07:10 UTC

@LowLandsPete Thank you for some reason I thought the name was something much more exotic!! can't for the life of me find the vid i was watching been scrolling back here for several days.

2019-07-17 18:08:23 UTC

hmm it doesn't look like the one ID though. does a horned own attack its own young?

2019-07-17 18:09:51 UTC

to hear the hoot of an Owl presaged imminent death.

2019-07-17 18:12:06 UTC

yes but doesn't look like the same bird at allhttps://i.pinimg.com/originals/16/ba/01/16ba016f389600c213bef49ec02d5c48.jpg

2019-07-17 18:13:58 UTC

2019-07-17 18:16:55 UTC

they are gone now

2019-07-17 18:20:13 UTC

yeah Ive seen all those and it was after the idea of it being the owl and moloch. But to do with it being a type of bird that molests its own young.

2019-07-17 18:21:37 UTC

I don't know about that but it sounds plausible 🤐

2019-07-17 18:21:38 UTC

When I find it later I'll post back.. it might have been a long twitter thread

2019-07-17 18:21:38 UTC

i dont understand how they can give illegal immigrants **free** healthcare when i am a born american citizen and became disabled age 17, and have ***NEVER*** had insurance since i fell off the champus/tricare free childrens ins from fathers military service

2019-07-17 18:22:46 UTC

@lucid look a little higher in this thread ... Sulfur Crested Cockatoo ...

2019-07-17 18:22:54 UTC

Yeah it was something new as there were some closer pics of the birds. When I looked it up it was right it was the same bird. Looked more like a type of white parrot with a single plume on the top in the centre

2019-07-17 18:23:00 UTC

will find images for you ...

2019-07-17 18:23:08 UTC

also dont understand how anything could do anything harmful to their own offspring

2019-07-17 18:23:28 UTC

thanks @GoodDog

2019-07-17 18:24:11 UTC

Quite welcome ... that one bugged me for weeks until I found it ...

2019-07-17 18:24:19 UTC

strange little bird ...

2019-07-17 18:25:42 UTC

I'm gonna still see if i can refind the info as it was very useful. I think i saved the session tabs so will have a dig as there was a ton of stuff there,

2019-07-17 18:27:35 UTC

@[Λχм]FisτᎧνDεΔτн yes that was the weird thing. I hope i'm remembering it right. It wasn't always but had been known and it was special to that type of bird. Hence the significance of that bird on the temple. I was gonna post the thread here but fell asleep. It was like 4am my time in uk

2019-07-17 18:36:27 UTC

well the horned owl doesn't seem to eat it's own baby's but pretty much any other smaller animal and their offspring

Although the statues resemble cockatoo's, I live in Australia and have never seen any type of behaviour regarding "molesting" their young. Are you sure you mean molesting and not killing? Even with that it does not apply to cockatoo's. https://animals.mom.me/life-cycle-cockatoos-4740.html
