flatbow or composite?

2021-01-12 03:50:52 UTC

I think composite refers to the material, flat bow is a type of bow

2021-01-12 03:51:55 UTC

my recommendation, and disclaimer, I don't hunt, is a compount bow. They are relatively affordable, versatile, easy to set-up, and usually easier to learn on.

plus, they let you shoot a more powerful bow with more ease, because you have an initially heavy draw that lets off about 60-80% of the force at a certain point, making it easier to aim

2021-01-12 03:53:09 UTC

okay

2021-01-12 03:53:27 UTC

i think composite refers to the pully systems in the bow itself

2021-01-12 03:53:31 UTC

not sure though

2021-01-12 03:55:14 UTC

that's a compound, if im not mistaken. composite refers to the material the limbs (spring arms) or riser (block that holds limbs) are made from. some are wood, some are laminate (wood and resin), some are composite (reinforced polymer)

youre probably right

https://diamondarchery.com/bows/edge-sb-1-2/ this is a good one. I had one for a couple of weeks, but had to get rid of it. 10/10 I would and do want to buy it again.

2021-01-12 03:56:23 UTC

this one can be adjusted from 10 to 70 pounds

2021-01-12 03:56:49 UTC

it doesn't say the cost

2021-01-12 03:56:51 UTC

most states only require you have 45+ pounds to take deer and other medium game

2021-01-12 03:57:05 UTC

how much is it?

2021-01-12 03:57:12 UTC

price is typically 400, but shop around, I picked mine up for 350

2021-01-12 03:57:20 UTC

wow

2021-01-12 03:57:40 UTC

thats not bad

2021-01-12 03:59:29 UTC

you can get traditional or re-curve bows for 200, but they are not as versatile, so you have to buy one with the correct poundage from the get-go. if you've never shot a bow, you may find 20 pounds is difficult to get back. If your stronger, you can likely handle 35-40 out the gate, but you will likely want something stronger down the road. A compound lets you adjust that poundage whenever you want

2021-01-12 03:59:40 UTC

a traditional bow cant be adjusted (typically)

2021-01-12 03:59:55 UTC

good to know

2021-01-12 04:00:02 UTC

it will be later down the road tho

2021-01-12 04:00:09 UTC

trying to get a gaming laptop rn

2021-01-12 04:00:57 UTC

mk. Just do your research. If you go to a bow shop, they will usually be happy to teach you everything you need to know, and even get you sized so that everything you try fits perfectly.

2021-01-12 04:01:10 UTC

gl!

2021-01-12 04:01:34 UTC
