Not American history but it's something that makes me a bit sad. It's considered as controversial as a German to show interest in the German empire or patriotism even though I think it was one of our most glorious ages. In school history of our country pretty much only focuses on ww1 and ww2 and of course Hitler. The way it's handled is good but there is much more than just this dark past and Youtube doesn't help marking everything from that era as hatespeech
