China has the same problem. The chinese dynasties have been so terrible with their neighbors that Vietnam immediately became our ally after the vietnam war. Why? Because they had enough sense to know that China was NOT their friend. Never had been.

Alright, I think we might be drawing the ire of the mods, we should keep the discussion to weapons from here on out.

2021-01-18 03:09:24 UTC

Back to war of 1812 we may have failed to invade the northern British colonies, but we ultimately achieved what we desired: no more of our sailors being forced to serve in the British navy and the opening of trade routes previously blockaded by the British

2021-01-18 03:09:49 UTC

Should we move this over to history?

2021-01-18 03:10:03 UTC

So we achieved our objective therefore we achieved victory

2021-01-18 03:10:04 UTC

Nah

2021-01-18 03:10:08 UTC

I'm done

2021-01-18 03:10:32 UTC

Just wanted to clarify that

2021-01-18 03:10:56 UTC

He also pissed me off with how the 9mm is inferior

2021-01-18 03:11:32 UTC

Everybody has personal preference, but the 9mm is a valid round due to its capacity and firepower

2021-01-18 03:12:18 UTC

9mm is good, .45 is inferior to the 9. Personally I think that we should have adopted the full-power 10mm auto as our standard service round. If not that, then we should have switched it out for the .30 carbine in WWII.

2021-01-18 03:12:49 UTC

Odk about 10mm

2021-01-18 03:12:57 UTC

I think 9mm works fine

2021-01-18 03:12:57 UTC

9mm makes for nice, easy shooting.

2021-01-18 03:13:05 UTC

But 10mm is a solid round

2021-01-18 03:13:07 UTC

And that's why it's a valid round.

2021-01-18 03:13:13 UTC

Yeah

2021-01-18 03:13:18 UTC

As well as capacity

2021-01-18 03:13:27 UTC

That's really its main advantage

2021-01-18 03:13:36 UTC

And it can put down hostiles just as good as the .45, so there's really no need for the .45 any more.

2021-01-18 03:14:06 UTC

Full power 10mm is like a .357 chambered as a semi-auto round.

2021-01-18 03:14:44 UTC

So if you're looking for more "oomf" for your pistol round, you can do that instead.

2021-01-18 03:14:56 UTC

I'll say I prefer the 9mm over the .45 and believe it to be a tactically superior round, but with the right .45 rounds and pistol it still works pretty well

2021-01-18 03:15:22 UTC

And 10mm is superior to the .45 in terms of power and velocity

2021-01-18 03:16:04 UTC

.45 is perfectly adequate, but you have a lot more recoil and a lot less mag space.

2021-01-18 03:16:20 UTC

.357 magnum is my fav

2021-01-18 03:16:40 UTC

Also if you look at Canada's goals we achieved victory

2021-01-18 03:16:53 UTC

Not a fan .45 outside of use in SMGs

2021-01-18 03:17:02 UTC

So we both achieved victory and Britain lost

2021-01-18 03:17:07 UTC

There

2021-01-18 03:17:25 UTC

Alright, not that I have any authority, but this discussion should really be moved to history if you guys insist.

2021-01-18 03:17:35 UTC

We hate Britain, we just love the crown which is technically Scottish first.

2021-01-18 03:17:59 UTC

I think the discussion is officially done

2021-01-18 03:18:29 UTC

I would like .30 carbine more in an SMG.

2021-01-18 03:18:41 UTC

Too bad we scrapped all the factories.

2021-01-18 03:18:57 UTC

And we *really* needed better mags for that rifle.

2021-01-18 03:19:07 UTC

10mm is the best round for SMGs

2021-01-18 03:19:08 UTC

Huh?

2021-01-18 03:19:19 UTC

What factory?

2021-01-18 03:19:34 UTC

Factories making the .30 carbine round?

2021-01-18 03:19:45 UTC

I thought they were repurposed to other things.
