We still are changing the climate, though alarmism is trash and a tool the left loves to exploit. There's nothing wrong with investing in greener alternatives, its just that we don't need to destroy the Global Economy (Green New Deal) to accomplish it. For example, fusion power is a great solution to our energy problems and it really is the tech of the future, so there is no reason why we shouldn't invest in it. We should also try to move away from coal --> gas, as coal is inefficient and outdated anyways.

I think that the mainstream climate change people aren't serious about their solutions. Nuclear is something any cllimate changer bliever should consider because wind and solar produces more waste (manufacturing and whatnot) and are not powerful enough
