Because I have had a full year of "Trump is gonna win! have hope!" "Things are gonna be okay and get better" and other empty words and im tired of people just spouting ignorant false hopes to people.

It is better to have hoped than to not have hoped. Sure, I feel let down as well in some regards, but I rather have hope.

Personally, I hate lies. I hate being lied to and liars. And when you tell a cancer patients family "Its gonna be okay, everything is gonna be fine." and they die thats crueler than just saying they have 2 weeks to live.
