You know there have been many atemps to build a european super state in the past, the austrians have tried it napoleon has tried it hitler has tried it (3th reich) and now.. EU, with having one currency and always taking more power and more sovereignty and the idea of countries needs to fade away etc. they don't want national flags but the EU flag, EU army etc
Also there are so many different econmy's so the northern part of europe has a better economy so northern europe is in dissadvantage with having the euro
