Ah.
Anyways, the rules here didn’t exactly specify
I’m not a trump supporter, I joined to try and get some insight on why some people are as upset as they are
Hello
It's about the integrity of our voting system. America was built on we the people calling the shots. If the officals just pick and chose who they want to win and we do nothing about it we will end up like Venezuela, or even worse, be China 2.0.
That's just my opinion. Others can have different ones.
So you feel like you don’t really have a say in national affairs
I respect whoever the American people vote for as long as it was fair.
Im solely speaking on the 2020 election
So you’re for the belief that the voting was tampered with, or votes were added, really anything under that particular umbrella
As most people are in here I would assume
The interesting thing is that most of the people in the U.S want the same thing. Freedom, enough security to be comfortable but not overbearing, a reasonable amount of public service.
Obviously wages sufficient to live on, friends to be with, family.
I'd like to add a functional economy to that if that's alright
I’m speaking on the bare bones basics, the direct needs of the people. A strong economy facilitates what I’ve listed (wages, security, freedom)
Anyways, back to the election. I think it’s a pretty big risk, especially so if you’re for the will of the common people, to challenge the integrity of an election. It’s important to consider what it means should you be wrong; you’re potentially stripping the freedoms of millions of other people who votes for their candidate
Which is exactly what’s sparked the outrage on this side of the seesaw from what I can tell
If we are wrong all that happens is there's an investigation that brings up nothing. If we are right then the election is changed and integrity is kept.
Howdy fellas
Didn’t that already happen though? I know there were recounts in the key states and even hand counts with non partisan witnesses
alright so ima be real here, I joined to see how bad it would be since I was expecting an shitshow, but this seems relatively civil from what I've seen, so now I'm just interested as to what exactly is the main goal here?
like, what's the political/economic theory behind this
I’m fairly sure the point of the discord is networking.
and is there an overarching label for this party
well I know, but I'm just trying to form an opinion about this group
I suppose that depends on what expectations and beliefs you came in here with.
well I came here expecting an alt-right shithole tbh, so I was suprised by the rules at first lmao
But to keep it simple, I guess it’s a pro-Trump far right Conservative party.
well looking up trump in this server, it seems like most people aren't in support of him?
To be clear, I’m a progressive.
same
I'm ancom lmao
Come again? That’s not familiar to me
anarchocommunism mate
Alright I know vaguely of that
just the idea of direct democracy along with an equal distribution of wealth
Yeah, so you’re definitely further to the corner than I am.
direct democracy being that the people vote on basically every law/bill passed
and yeah lol
it's not hard anarchy, since there's still some level of state, just that it's not exactly powerful to say the least
As I was saying, generally you aren’t going to find people who share similar opinions at each other’s throats.
