Words change all the time, it doesn’t harm you any to run with that here and there.
What relevance does that have with my statement?
I feel like I'm talking to Clever Bot.
The biggest problem with the more than 2 genders thing is generally being forced to say something you dont believe in
saying it's biologically incorrect is semantically incorrect lol
Forced to say what?
also, it's more about respect for the individual and their freedoms
I hold no respect for any human
That’s a shame
Ill call you an it if I feel like jt
if you can't muster enough respect to address someone a certain way, from what I've seen this party certainly isn't for you
This isn't the liberal party where we refer to people for what they aren't.
If you want someone to call you something different theres a way to do it. In canada its legislated to force you to do it.
Ok. So why should I engage in any discussion revolving around morality when you spit on it like that? Or even take any of your arguments seriously?
it's not forced in Canada, there have been no arrests or fines as far as I'm aware
The general argument is idc until you try and force me to use your pronouns that may or may not be real.
And by the way, it is in the rules to be civil. Calling someone “it” isn’t civil.
^
Just relax.
Humans are humans, that's why we have pronouns.
Him or her, I agree.
pronouns are entirely a social construct, there is no "real" to social constructs
I wouldnt say you are.
I mean if you want to be technical everything in your life is a social construct. Nothing that you see or hear can be "real" because your brain doesn't understand half of the signals its sent.
The modern idea of gender is a liberal construct without a base. Men are born men just as women are born women. The way we refer to eachother is by our biological pronouns.
thats not what that means
But is it such a bad thing if that changes, Slash?
I don't think you know what social constructs are
It was modern to use “thou” at one point in time
A social construct from the statement used would be something constructed by society.
Technically your society doesn't exist.
Now I think you’ll probably get laughed out of a McDonalds if you tried to order in old English
yes, and visual feedback is not constructed by society lmao
also just because something is a social construct doesn't mean it doesn't exist
Any kind of feedback can and will be influenced by society
language is a social construct, but it exists
No, however it's incorrect and needless for it to change. I won't refer to what is obviously a man as a women, the same goes the other way around.
Even out of respect to the person?
The pronouns in our language are anchored to our sex.
By what law?
