Anyways I’ve had a pleasant conversation here, it’s quite late and I gotta sleep at some point

2021-01-08 08:57:35 UTC

Apologies, I'm not previously in this discussion but it isn't feasible to apply jellyfish biology to human biology, having majored in biology previously.

2021-01-08 08:57:36 UTC

alright, night

2021-01-08 08:57:45 UTC

she does more than study jellyfish

2021-01-08 08:57:58 UTC

You realize that those are sea animal biological studies correct

2021-01-08 08:58:09 UTC

not all of them are

2021-01-08 08:58:10 UTC

but ok

2021-01-08 08:58:25 UTC

Those are her papers, not the link Suzu originally posted

2021-01-08 08:58:33 UTC

^

2021-01-08 08:58:46 UTC

Which was relevant, the papers were just to establish the biologist as credible

2021-01-08 08:58:49 UTC

A reddit post that doesn't have a study means nothing

2021-01-08 08:59:10 UTC

If it were true would she not have a paper on it

2021-01-08 08:59:18 UTC

These are the studies backing it up.

2021-01-08 08:59:21 UTC

if you want

2021-01-08 08:59:25 UTC

For jellyfish?

2021-01-08 08:59:28 UTC

I can find another study showing the same thing

2021-01-08 08:59:36 UTC

I could not help but chuckle.

2021-01-08 08:59:50 UTC

it's a strawman but yeah, kind of funny

2021-01-08 08:59:59 UTC

Nevermind what I said earlier, I'm starting to actually like the way you talk.

2021-01-08 09:00:08 UTC

I mean I could send you hundreds of studies that say XX = Female and XY = Male

2021-01-08 09:00:19 UTC

Appreciate it.

2021-01-08 09:00:36 UTC

And that these chromosomes directly correlate to whether someone is a man or a woman

2021-01-08 09:00:41 UTC

Keep an open mind all. And have a nice day or night wherever you may be.

2021-01-08 09:00:54 UTC

You as well

2021-01-08 09:00:57 UTC

Take care.

2021-01-08 09:01:23 UTC

Even though I'm calling bullshit on predestined studies that come with the conclusion that some very few select humans believe they are the opposite sex despite their own physical biology, what is it that people want out of this? Are we hoping for legislation to conform to such a small minority if it even really exists?

2021-01-08 09:01:59 UTC

no, we're simply debating the fact that instersex people exist, apparently

Speaking of intersex people, it seems like the op did something to offend this dude.

2021-01-08 09:02:32 UTC

none of that discredits the post

2021-01-08 09:02:42 UTC

Didn't say it does.

2021-01-08 09:02:54 UTC

then what was the point of bringing it up?

2021-01-08 09:03:23 UTC

Intersex is a mutation in the chromosomes of X or Y

2021-01-08 09:03:38 UTC

I'm curious about how conflict regarding pronouns comes about, and if it's something worth taking a breath on to even mention.

2021-01-08 09:04:58 UTC

it began because you said the idea of more than 2 genders is "biologically incorrect"

2021-01-08 09:05:06 UTC

As Steven Crowder put it, you can't legislate or reasonably defend protecting pronouns beneath any legal oversight. How do you control the abstract? The infinite?

2021-01-08 09:05:09 UTC

when gender is not inherently tied to sex

2021-01-08 09:05:14 UTC

simple

2021-01-08 09:05:19 UTC

add a 3rd category

2021-01-08 09:05:25 UTC

non-binary

2021-01-08 09:05:26 UTC

that is all
