And if I'm not mistaken the different approaches to this were:
-Libertarian: It's the businessman's decision to do so in the free market, let them do whatever they want.
-Conservative: That hurts our own economy and citizens, let's not do that.
Civil War splits the country between North and South, apparently it intersected in Virginia so the only solution was to split it into to fully establish the borders between North and South.
Libertarians prefer a very small government and want to let the market decide, survival of the fittest when it comes to companies, in this kind of market people not buying that product hurts them more, so they act better
The problem with Libertarianism is that their policies are not very attractive to the average Americans these days and they wouldn't be able to win most elections. 😕
The problem with libertarianism is that freedom is their sole end goal + means of doing things. They don't care that much about order, which is vital if they want that society last.
Sure, let's all be "free" for a couple years without any stablished order, let's see how long that goes until everyone is addicted to their primal desires and catching things on fire.
